I'm not a supporter but more of a supporter of my own wallet and I think this thing is going to get real close. Probably to close to call. Should I start laddering in at +150? Any books with a better McCain number?

I loaded up on Obama -153 and -160 when Palin was announced. I blew that call. I ended up getting out of my entire position by betting McCain +152. I think McCain price will get worse and worse as you do. Going closer to PK. Maybe -130. I still think Obama can win, but I plan to bet him later when I have a better feel for where the post Palin numbers go.

I think +150 is a decent lead.

Intrade is implying ~42.3% so +150 is a good number if you base it off of that. Not sure what the commission is like but you could probably arb it there at the very least.

I could see McCain +110 this time next month. Swing vote Americans are like that. They love a new change guy for a while but by Oct they have second thoughts and look for someone tough on defense. I see the race as a dead heat.

The probability of McCain being elected is remote. He will get 0.5% of the non-white vote. Unless the census bureau is wrong when they say that the whites are less than 50% McCain would still be a senator in 2009 and Palin the governor of Alaska.
