I never got the fascination with him...

His teams don't play defense. They never have. And usually in most games, and especially in the playoffs when it becomes more of a half court game, you have to make defensive stops to win. His teams can't make defensive stops.

Simple as that really...

he didn't fkng ask for hogsht melo. completely disagree that he's a bad coach. the two superstars he was handed don't even want to play basketball. look how the few players he drafted and coached for a little while are doing in denver. it's because they just have the best coach on the league?

This is simple. D'antoni needs to have a players meeting with the team

1. He's coached Amare in Phoenix and we've seen how awesome that Stoudemire can be if he know's his role.

2 Get in there and tell Melo--" Do you want to be a 26 point per game scorer or a champion...choose?

3. The Knicks need to get a point guard. Stat isn't good at initiating his moves, he's a finisher. Baron Davis is a nice veteran player but isn't a pure point.

Even at his advanced age, if the Knicks got Steve Nash, he would teach Melo how to play team basketball and cut this bullshit out. Anthony is ruining the team, Stoudemire is behaving in an immature fashion, and D'antoni is giving up on this team too easily!
