well, diversification is the key to any investment strategy, so if people put all their eggs in one basket, that isn't bright. further, there are 1000s of hedge funds from which to choose, it would be wise to research them to find one agreeable to one's risk/return desires - perhaps 'bucketshops' would have been filtered out that way...Comment -
You would need an enormous life savings and a strong love of gambling though to even get involved in that market.
The volatility involved in that type of trading and the numbers to even get involved with forex hedge funds and most importantly to have access to the best prices make it impossible except for some swiss banks and maybe some more wildly adventurous pension funds to really get into this market with any security .
People should really read up on forex scams before they believe they can get into this and arbitrage this market.A 24 hour nightmare all trading week long for the very few people I know who got involved in this type of trading with fund managers.

from what i understand, it's easier to just close up shop and open a new fund, then to try and bail out one thats in the gutter... lmkComment -
there is one particular hedge fund that is something else. they created fake account balance for their clients while they lost over 90% of clients money. this is down right criminal. you'll hear about this in the news soon.Comment
