Thanks for all the thoughts everyone, the people are friendlier in TX that I notice, although for some reason cashiers move in slow motion. All in all a very pleasant atmosphere.

Put on sunscreen. The Texas sun is lethal. And remember, you go south on 35 for a few minutes and you are at Retama Park. Horse racing.

We're going to slowly acclimate him to the Lone Star State. Had our warmest day in a few weeks on the day Crazy arrived, scratching 99°F on the old thermo-meter. But he's missed most of the hot weather.

I'll get him down to Gruene Hall so he can hear both kinds of music we have here in Texas, country and western. Still taking applications for a nice, round-bottomed little cowgirl to set him up with.
