Thread replies can now be limited to SBR Pros

This was a requested feature.

Basically everyone can view the thread but only Pro's can reply.

To use this function check the box called "Allow only Pro members to reply". It's below the Submit New Thread button in the Miscellaneous Options area.

A poster has the option of choosing whether or not Non-Pros can reply to his thread.

I can already see some pros starting threads taking shots at non pros that cannot post in the thread and defend themselves.

Quixotic.......... Non pros are often times the least disciplined posters..... Some pros will manipulate this in non pro threads..... Non pros will start 1-3 threads to reply to the insult in the locked thread...or even in a sports thread topic... Non pros will still wanna give their two cents.... Can't merge topics now.... I feel bad for the mods for this experiment...... By the way can all black posters just bd given pro status as reparations

I would not call it discrimination. It will reduce the flow of info, but SBR is trying to push their Pro program. Don't see anything wrong with that.

It's just a way for SBR to add a perk to being a pro, rather than non-pro. Plus, it adds exclusivity!!!!!!

The option is available for Pros to choose if that is their preference or by default all threads are open to everyone.

Pro's have been asking for their own area or forum for a long time. This is a compromise and a reasonable one. They support the site and they should be allowed to include or exclude non Pros in the replies to their discussions.
