That is not what it says at all. Proving someone guilty in a criminal activity is completely different. No one actually knows what went down inside Penn St. in regards to what Joe knew and didn't know. Sandusky will have his day in court. I am not condoning anything that happened.

I don't judge him, I'm not saying he is a despicable man, a disgrace, a criminal but I do say he is not a heroe which is different, I do say his accions (lack of accions) were not the best approach. I do say that a lot of suffering could be avoided if he had done what was suppose to be done. And I do say that if there is any thing that we should learn from him is to be able to stand for our values at all times because not doing so might damage a lifetime of good deeds. If you are a Doctor and you save 20 000 people but you let just one die for negligence you have to pay for that one. Because just one victim are too many.

The OP is literally retarded. For starters, JoePa had NOTHING to do with the second mile. You saying he allowed kids he coached to get raped has to be an incoherent mind taking cues from the ESPN headlines, with no research or thought put into it.

The reason Penn State alums and students are 100% behind JoePa is that he ALWAYS put real life ahead of football. His players' graduation rate and success in life was far more important to him than his win rate. He benched his stars when they screwed up. He NEVER would have let Terrell Pryor play his last bowl game. He may not have single-handedly cured cancer or whatever the fukk you require of someone to be a "hero", but he changed the lives of his players for the better. He was exactly what an educator should be.

Joe Paterno gave so much to the institution of Penn State, financially and with the earnest application of his football talents. He lived relatively modestly, and practiced what he preached. He was a great man, an icon and a coaching legend.

If you knew anything about Joe Paterno, you'd know that if he really knew what was up, he'd have done the right thing. McQueary and the ones who are indicted for the cover up should be the targets of your rage. We're talking about an 80 year old man who was told that there was something "inappropriate" going on with a FORMER subordinate. That would be like if you saw a guy get clubbed in the head with a tire iron, and told his old boss you witnessed some "inappropriate tire-iron related activity". He would be confused as hell, then he'd tell you to take it up with the appropriate channels. If you STILL fukked it up, it's on you.

If you're going to go talking sh!t on a recently dead legend who millions looked up to (with good cause) do a little god damn research. Fukk this stupid sound-byte culture, and fukk you OP.

joe told the president of the university, and the university covered it up. they felt that they could cover it. of course this happens all the time, but they got caught. i guess joe could have quit his job and blown the wistle on the whole thing. but the money involved would have shut him up somehow probably, even if it was judges in the town. but yea, joe probably knew for at least 10 years.
