Yes he did suck bad on those 2 plays, but the 49'ers should have been able to put this game away late but just could not score and were pathetic on 3rd down. The Williams fumble was a disgrace, but I saw nothing that showed me San Fran was going to score again in this game. I think the Giants were going to win late in the game, but Williams' fumble just made it happen quicker.

This is what I was thinking too...

I think they wanted to be "tricky" by repeatedly throwing on 1st and 10. Since they had run the ball so effectively, and Alex Smith is pretty much dogshit, the Giants would be loading the box on run downs. But Alex Smith would roll out and throw the ball away each 1st down, and then they apparently felt they needed to throw it on 2nd and 10. And then of course he would throw it away and they would need to throw it on 3rd down... where he would throw it away.

This was the best part of the game. Everyone was focused on the shitty weather and how it would affect each team, but the Niners looked more like the team that wasn't prepared to play in this weather. This is almost too easy.
