It's easy to say that was the right call when watching in slow motion and seeing forward progress stopped...but year after year in the offseason you hear about one of the improvements the officials want to make is not to be so quick on the whistle and call plays dead before they are over and it's exactly because of stupid plays like that. No way that play should of been blown dead when watching it in real time and it affected the outcome of the game hugely. You make what was a great game into a game of a blown call. One of the many reasons why the NFL continues to fail.

That play was as standard as they come. Giants RB was bottled up, falling backwards, 3 49ers hanging off of him, they blow the whistle. Then the ball comes out. Sorry but that wasn't anything out of the ordinary.

H) San Fran would of pounded the ball & the clock for the remainder of the quarter eventually punting the ball back to NYG on there 10 yard line.
