Football is clearly one of the best sports to handicap, NHL is one of the worst. If you go and check the leaderboard of most handicappers website you will see that the highest ROI is in football and the lowest is in NHL. Unfurtunally nor tennis nor soccer are posted in most of those websites. Any one on soccer or tennis?

obvious sports with soft lines? wnba dues to low number of games, college basketball/football due to many changes in lineups every year and too many teams gather consistent meaningfull stats, tennis because of very few matchups between players and only 1vs1Comment -
If it is hard to calculate for the books isn't it hard to calculate for us as well? If our edge is going to be luck then again we are betting on the -110 and they get the edge, unless we bet on the moneyline betting on the underdog. Is that whet you mean?. NHL has much softer lines then NFL. I think NFL spreads are impossible to handicap, but the NHL is super easy. Lines are wrong all the time.Comment -
NHL is easy but it is also unpredictable, you can see the best teams losing to the worst ones, even without injuries. Boston best winning % in NHL: 28-12-1. Packers in NFL 15-1. That is an example of how unpredictable NHL is.Comment -
