Good.
Gave me a reason to wake up early.
Now I dont spend all day at the cantina. I drink in my home instead.

Agree. With rich boy... don't go out as much as I use to cause I wanna see scores... and when I'm with the gf I'm always on the phone checking scores

It's social suicide. That's why we come here. Wouldn't give it up though. It's a perfect hobby for me.

Cost me a few relationships and my Dad is disappointed in me. People ask him what I do and he doesn't know what to say. Winning streaks sure are fun though.
I think you can do this, make money at it, AND be productive elsewhere in life as long as gambling doesn't consume you

It's affected my love of sports, cheering on my favourite teams.
There can be no favourite teams if you do the smart thing and bet with your head, not your heart.
people think I'm completely insane, but it gives me something to do at work..

Probably negatively, though not by much. I've lost some money, but it's offset by the thrill and enjoyment I get from a legitimate hobby. Has enhanced my critical thinking, and gives me a decent sense of satisfaction from being part of the SBR community and getting to go to the bash etc...
