Money management / Advice question ???
Sort of a newbie here, but I would like to say I know the game of baseball. Anyways, I need some advice on bankroll, etc.

So what is the right way to go about betting your money? I mean I am usually pretty solid at picking winners and have gone 74-41 on sides in the past two months. (yes I know that is a lot of action, and yes I have been known to pay some chalk) That said, I have reviewed and I am 3-9 in totals. (How on earth can on even be that bad)

    - Even after that pretty good % in sides I find myself down over these months. (I know some is due to totals)

--Obviously I need to stay off the totals because they just don't seem like they are for me.

--That said, let's say I have around a 300 bankroll, what is the proper amount to wager on a given game? Do you guys always bet the same amount on each game, or do you deviate from that when you think you see a good bet.

Thoughts? Need some advice from a quality capper here.

    Thanks in advance.

    -Clay

With $300 BR then you should bet $10 per game flat bet.

So you mean if a game is -160 put 16 to win 10, etc, correct?

If you keep bet those big chalk -160 then won't be long you will be done. The juice will kill you.
bet 1-3% of your BR will help.

you can do just about anything. 3-9? results from 12 bets are unlikely to say anything meaningful about their quality.
How many bets down are you willing to go before quitting?
Would you still want to piddle around with your small bankroll if your stuck 15bets, 20bets, 30bets? take 300 and divide by that #

You can also consider betting a set %. That is lowering bets after losses and raising after wins.

Its good to bet more on your better picks, provided you know which ones they are.

Are you trying to take a shot?(be more aggressive)
Or are you determined to stick with it if things go bad early?(more conservative?)

These are the questions you should try to answer.

Thanks ppl. I am no high roller by any means and basically bet games just to get maybe make a little extra cash but for the most part it is for fun.

That said, I like the Cards tonight at +105.

            Play it or fade it.

Until you've been doing this a few years, stick to 1%. Yes, that's $3/game.

That 1% shit is for pussies, action junkies or some combination of the two.

I bet 1/3 of bankroll this time of year.

Most of the stuff written on money management is poor.

Stick to 1% until you have a great grip on your edge.

this might help you guys out

                        3000 investments w/edge of 55% per year @ 250$ avg bet =[750k]

5% roi intrest of the total invested[750]= 37.5k$ year

                        simple example]
5$ return off every 100 invested.
5$ is pretty low nowadays i expect closer to a 9$ return for every 100 invested

yes im going on over 2400[investments] already for the year

the bottom line should be more based off the roi per every 100 invested, then teying to risk a large amount per day.in other words if you gain say 12/100 on 5k on 100$ investments your actually beating the bigger # and do not have to wager large sums
