All politicians are a joke. It's one big party and we're not invited. 6 years ago, people were saying the same thing about the dems. Shrub had declining approval ratings and the best the dems could muster up was Kerry. Guess where we'll be in another 6 years? Status quo.

Ron Paul is the best Republican candidate there has been in probably 50 years or more. The rest are indeed a joke.

Can you believe the outrageous comments this guy makes, we have another loony that makes similar comments equating D with communists. I kinda like when they do this it throws their entire argument in the toilet. But, they continue. Chronic autism.

The problem is that the party was hijacked by neocons like the Bushes, the Cheneys, the Gingrichs, etc. etc.
These are nowhere near traditional conservatives we're seeing anymore.
Mitt Romney is a socialist who implemented government sponsored health care in his own state as governor.
The party has become a disgrace because it lost it's soul.

The rejection of Romney (The GOP establishment candidate) will go along way to purifying the party.
Too many moderates in the GOP right now.
Newt Gingrich was the greatest Speaker of the House this country ever had. ie. Welfare reform, huge rise in stock market, low unemployment, low gas prices...heck Newt was so good he made a clown like Clinton look good.
Plus he just obtained an endorsement from Chuck Norris!

"If You Don't Vote for Newt, Chuck Norris Will Come and Destroy You."
Chuck Norris says Newt Gingrich is his pick to win the 2012 election, adding that the Republican presidential hopeful can "outwit, outplay and outlast"

Newt Gingrich had 84 ethics violations levied against him in his time as speaker of the house. His own party staged a coup against him and threw him out.
Newt Gingrich is a disgrace not only to the Republican Party, but also to American politics.

And yet, a very large number of people want him to lead the country. I find it truly incredible. A moral bankrupt being sung a hero by faith in God people. If that isn't a riddle fit for a genius, what is?

You piss off the neo-cons (as you like to call them) and Democrats, they will come after you.
Same thing happened to Palin in Alaska.
As one famous Democrat once said "It's not the validity of the charges, but the seriousness of the charges that matter." Paraphrasing of course....but you get the point.

lefties think Newt is not qualified to be President because of this or that .... but give their guy a free pass. Even though their guy started his campaign in the living-room of a convicted terrorist and sat in a church listening to a Reverend that despises America. For years mind you. The hypocrisy is quite comical.

Oh sorry - 'more than a million'. Consultant? LMFAO. Gingirch was paid by drug companies while trying to convince his buddies in Congress to pass the medicare drug bill. I guess he wasn't doing that because he was being paid, but because he really believed in it?

You can not have easy winners like Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush every election. Mitt Romney is a pretty strong candidate. His father was a strong contender in '68 and governor of Michigan. Mitt is a former governor and half way to being a billionaire. The Republicans also have the former Speaker of the House. Either of these guys will give Obama all he can handle.

The election is decided in Southern Ohio, the Piedmont of North Carolina,Suburban Philadelphia and DC and to a lesser extent Southern Florida
NO Mormon can win in those examples listed above no matter how much they hate the Black guy
And if it's Newt he wont carry the listed suburbs so can he win South Florida-I doubt it

Your GOP consisted of a bunch of moderates that were willing and able to compromise for the good of the country. Even RR and his bunch believed in compromise for the health of the country. At the time they might have been thought to be extreme but they were not. The fringe group now dominating a huge part of the R party, they are true crazy people. Ike, Ford, RR and those type R are now very few in number. Romney I believe is a moderate but he is attempting to reach out to the crazies, I guess that is what one needs to do in order to get the nomination. Many of the crazies know he is a moderate, know he is a Mormon and can't give their heart to this guy. Why, because they are crazies. period.
