Bet under consideration- Game due to start in 2 hrs

Guys,

Expert advice needed. I placed a bet at one of the Australian bookmaker on a baseball game for £1k. The bet is showing under consideration for last half an hour game is due to start in 1 hr and 45 minutes, to avoid any confusion I have dropped them an email as below

" Hi,

I placed a bet and it is showing under processsing for last 20 minutes. I
don't wish this bet to go ahead as the game is kicking off in 2 hrs and your
office opens in 2 hrs and I don't want to be in a position when you turn
around and say bet was accepted if it is a loser or declined if it is a
winner.

It is quite late in UK right now and I am confirming to you that I don't
want the bet to be processed. I am going to keep this email as a reference
in case of any dispute on this issue. I wasn't aware that you don't take
bets late night. It allows to place bets 24 hrs but it has gone straight to
the processing and hasn't moved since

so are you saying that I can assum bet is accepted and am ok to claim my winnings if they win that is ? Because there are clearly two outcomes there where do i stand if they reject it and I win or lets say they accept only part of i t?

I would assume so... I think if you win that bet its your winnings.. I've been in this situation before and not once did a book revoke a bet for me...

Surely if the bet isnt accepted before the match starts , then it should be void.

Else the book will be able to determine after the event whether to accept or decline the bet , already knowing what the result is.

Hmm, in that case what shall i do with the email. I hve already droppped them an email asking them to cancel my bet, if i drop another email saying not to cancel it it will complicate it more.. Whats your recommendation in this situation mate? I am inclined to hold my line saying that I wasnt made aware that the bet was accepted before the off so its a no bet ...

That is what my line of thought on this one is, if it is accepted fine but I dont know whether it is accepted or not. A book should have clear mechanism in place if they are leaving the lines open for a punter to place a bet and are not in the office so that punters are aware as to where they stand with their bets.

That's crap to leave a bet "under consideration". If the line moves against you, they keep it. If not, they cancel it.

I would never play at a shop like that.

That is exactly what I am going to do not play with them anymore this was my second bet with them, one would think that will not happen generally but in this scenario it has happened, first bad experience with an aussie book saying which they can still respond positively to it ...

Cheers Richkas , that is all I am hoping for. If i know its taken then its my luck win or lose but if it is not then I would expect the bookie to do the honorable thing and return my money. Whats your take on that game anyhow?
