( Covington ) A Kenton County Circuit Court Grand Jury has indicted Bengals wide receiver Jerome Simpson on a charge of trafficking marijuana. The charge stems from an investigation in September, where federal authorities went to Simpson's condo in Crestview Hills after learning a package with marijuana would be arriving from California.
Deputies seized about two and a half pounds from the incoming package and another six pounds from the condo. There were no arrests at that time of Simpson, 27-year-old Aleen Smith or fellow Bengal Anthony Collins, who were all at the home.
The trafficking charge carries with it the possibility of one to five years in prison. Simpson has not been arrested. The Bengals have made no comment on the charge.
Looks like they got him after all.
