Absolutely the worst case of sensationalism I've ever seen. We had stronger storms down here two weeks ago in Georgia. Watching the reporters act like they were getting blown sideways next to a flimsy tree was laughable. Weather channel was even worse.

Ya know JJ, I think you're absolutely correct.....Over the course of the afternoon I've heard a few reporters comment that "It looks like the worst was over", "It's not as bad as we thought", etc., and every single time the anchor will seem disappointed and comment about how it's bad somewhere else, there's a grave threat somewhere, etc. Those reporting on the endangered Private Levee were almost orgasmic in their enthusiasm.
And if I see one more reporter hanging onto a bloody tree or tying himself to a pole to keep reporting, I might throw a brick through the TV. Ok, we get it: It's windy and you're oh so brave. Now get the F*** inside already and report from there.....

Reporters always fake holding on to poles, ect. It is all hype.
They are starving for attention and news.
I followed storm and knew it was not going to be that bad way back. I should be a weatherman.

It was actually a Cat 2 when it came ashore. I've duck hunted in worse weather than that. And New Orleans is not the crown jewel of the South. It's a shit hole and God is trying to wash away all the crap.

I love it when people catch the media bullsh*tting.... Everytime I think there is no hope for society someone sheds a flicker of light....
These futures guys are something..... This past Friday the "Energies" were down so they speculated this was a false alarm.... The Friday before Katrina hit, which was the week before Labor Day on a Sunday morning, the "Engeries" were up and it was hard getting in.... I know I tried because I believed that movie "Oil Storm", which came out June 5th three months prior, was going to happen so I tried getting in the Friday before it hit and I couldn't get filled in the late afternoon....
Forget being a weather man JJ play the futures ...that might be your game....
