yeah thats what the announcers said. sometimes certain refs will call any helmet to helmet when theyre trigger happy on their hanky

Not sure they ever call a helmet to helmet on a RB. But yes, it was helmet to helmet on Pierre. That is why he fumbled and went flat afterwards. Has he come back yet?
