Yankees knock down Pineda and Kuroda
All of a sudden the Yankees just stepped up to the plate....Pineda and Kuroda have lined up a couple of good arms right behind CC. Rumors are their trying to offload Burnett or Hughes if they can to strengthen even more....The Evil Empire has finally woke up! They lose Montero and Noesi in the process

The New York Yankees have traded top prospect Jesus Montero and right-handed pitcher Hector Noesi to the Seattle Mariners in exchange for Michael Pineda and righty Jose Campos, a source told ESPN.com's Jayson Stark.

The New York Yankees completed another roster move Friday night, signing former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Hiroki Kuroda to a one-year contract worth $10 million, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney.

What makes you think they weren't "at the plate" already?

They were pretty quiet throughout the Winter Meetings and the Darvish sweepstakes...really zero rumors out there....for the Mariners to give up Pineda I would say Cashman just pulled off a quick solid trade....or he's a pretty good poker player for no one to get wind of it.
