Reports are since he's done with the Jets, Schottenheimer is meeting with coach Saban later today after senior meetings to interview for the O coordinator job?

Bama fans weigh in on this one?

I haven't followed him enough to know much about him other than he has SEC ties from Florida.

Article said he might go to Tampa if daddy Marty is hired there to be another Kiffin duo type package....and as a Bucs fan if we hire Marty I will shoot myself in the knee because that will be a horrible hire

Yeah lots of moves being made fast leading into spring ball/recruiting it looks like. Coach Sunseri is a possible hire on Dooley's staff in Knoxville away from Bama too.

I don't know much about him since I'm not a Jets fan and the only time I've seen him more than a week at a time is from the Jets HBO Hard Knocks preseason. But if he is a vanilla style low key guy, he's what coach Saban wants most likely. Staples of the Bama O and recruiting trends to the solid QB who isn't a case Keenum or Tim Tebow but one that will basically just not lose the game more than win it...run the ball and control the clock with some here and there TE packages and slot receivers (Smelley and Maze this year with Maze and Colin Peek in 09). Whomever it is will just have to buy into 'the process' of Saban's staff.

Pretty sure 'ole Mal Morre could rustle up whatever $$ we needed but with the price tag would come ego i.e. Saban and we both know that won't fly having two Alphas in T Town right now

Heard today someone asked to call Denny Chimes "Saban-Denny Chimes" on the quad now ....and so it begins.
