    Banking question
i have a withdrawal form sportsbook.com via regular mail that i never received, when i contacted them about this they said its best to do a stop payment on the check and then resend it a alternate or same method. they said the stop payment process would take 2-6 weeks, heres my question

if i receive that check in the mail say in 2 weeks, and i deposit it because the stop payment hasn't been finished yet what happens,

    A) check clears and when stop payment goes through its obsolete because it was cleared before the stop payment reached the processor

    b) check will clear and when stop payment hits the bank will deduct the amount from my account

i don't no how this works with these kind of checks but id assume if i sent my friend and check and he deposited it, and then i put a stop payment on the check, it wouldn't matter because he already deposited it.

they've never sent the first check, it's just a stall tactic

and just because a check is deposited and cleared, doesn't mean the funds have ultimately cleared. it depends on the bank, but in that last question it's possible your friend would later have the money taken out of his account

so basically if i received the check it would be wise to not even attempt to deposit it?

As someone who has gone through just a shitty of an experience this summer with sportsbook.com, I think it's fair to say that if you canceled the check withdrawal, you're not going to receive the check. As Durito said, they haven't sent it yet.

May I recommend *********** aka QuickTender as an alternate payment method? Contact sportsbook.com to open an account with them.
