I wouldn't put it past Pavano to shut down the Jays. His last start in Baltimore was a little deceiving. Over the first two innings, he was kinda wild and gave up his runs. But after that, he was hitting his locations and getting guys out. I think the Yanks at plus money at home versus the Jays is a good play.

Pavano was a sick pitcher back in the day. He is one of the reasons the Marlins won in '03

I think he had one season when he won 19 games. His contract year.

remember when the jays signed burnett for 55 mil, and people were saying they ****ed up with that, meanwhile, that same year, the yankees spent like what, 65 mil on pavano and wright, but no one said shit about that.
turns out the burnett signing was much much smarter, and was actually a steal, as burnett will opt out of his contract now and prolly get another 5, 6 year deal.

Yeah, but nobody could have known that Pavano would be this injury prone. He is actually on waivers now. The Yanks are hoping they can get something in return for him before he becomes a free agent.

The Yankees need this series big time, Pavano did ok against the O's who hit a lot better than the Jays IMO..
