Alabama-LSU proves no College Team Can Beat The Worst NFL Team.
Every year there is always someone asking if the BCS champion can beat the worst NFL Team. These games between the 2 best college football teams proves that the answer is clearly no. You hear people saying stuff like come on, they should probably beat the rams or browns, their horrible.

Alabama and LSU have the 2 best defenses in college football. Their offenses are obviously not spectacular but they both will score against inferior competition. 1st meeting it was 9-6, all field goals. This game is 9-0, again all field goals.

Now imagine the Alabama or LSU offense going against an NFL defense like the Colts. Mathes and Freeney would get 5+ sacks each individually. Only way this won't happen is if they do QB draw and sneak every down. Look at how horrible Alabama and LSU is when trying to move the ball. They are basically just running it and can't really even throw much because their QB's are not spectacular. Now if each of these offenses can't even move the ball against the other teams defense, do you actually think they have a chance against the Colts or the Rams? Only way they would score a touchdown is if they get a lucky special team play or a blown coverage by a DB and that wouldn't happen more than once for the NFL Team.

As for defense, sure Bama and LSU have the best defense. But an NFL O-Line would crush an LSU or Bama Defense. Imagine the Rams QB getting like at least 6 seconds to throw looking for the WR each down. The Colts backup qb would be salivating if he had to play against LSU or Bama because he knows he will throw 400 yards easily. Sure there are some offenses in the NFL that are very bad like the Rams, Browns etc. However, if they run the ball everytime using a Peyton Hillis and Stephen Jackson, they would easily average 7 yards a rush. They can literally just run the ball everytime with their RB and backup RB. Or even let their fullback get 5 yards each down.

This game between Alabama and LSU should pretty much show anyone why there is no way a college team would be able to beat the worst NFL team. The worst NFL defense is much much better than the best college defense even if they have 1st rounders. Thats why you never see many college players become superstars in the NFL in the first year. NFL schemes are complicated like no tomorrow, why do you think many NFL qbs even have wristbands with their plays like Brady since there is so many formations and plays compared to college. Thats why things like the wildcat just don't work in the NFL.

Now i know what you may be thinking. What if you just get a high powered offensive juggernaut like OSU or Houston. The problem here is these teams have the worst defenses in college football which means the NFL team like the Rams and Browns will score everytime they have the ball unless there was a fumble. Teams like OSU and Houston love to go shotgun and throw but the problem is once they do this, they will probably have 2 seconds or less to release the ball and if they do, there is a good chance they will get intercepted. Some say why what if that team just throw the ball 60 times. The problem here is if they even try to throw the ball 15 times, there is a good chance at least 3 will get picked off and then when the score is Browns 42-0, then OSU or Houston or Stanford would then just decide to run the ball as it might be 79-0 at the half.

Anyone that ask think about the best college football team beating the worst NFL Team should look at this game and that is probably a very good example.

I don't think it would be nit-picking to say this "theory" of yours while possibly true is by no means proven. See, in order for something to be proven there needs to be facts. Without the teams actually playing one another there are no facts and therefore can't actually be proven.

I do like that you took the time to write a long thought out hypothesis though. Too many posters are very lazy and abbreviate their thoughts. Or maybe they only think in abbreviated terms, either way good job on using up some decent thread space to convey your thoughts, regardless of their accuracy.

Who in the hell would ever say that?

Anyone who believes the best college team could beat the worst pro team needs to have their heads examined -- especially in football. That would be one of the worst and dumbest arguments ever.

Look at threads created every year. There is always some poster usually a newbie who would say hey guys would LSU or Alabama beat the Rams etc.

I don't even want to about your threads. You think they rig nba totals in the last minute of a game so that it would land on exactly 187 for a middle
