both of these teams at least have a defense--unlike ok state and stanford---small lean towrd lsu--crimson will be ready tonight--over 100,000 ala fans are going to new orleans and they do not have tickets

LSU seems like the play to me. I mean I think they are the better team and the game is in New Orleans.

But with all this reverse line movement toward Bama it makes me wonder. Is it just a bunch of Bama homer's betting on them or is there some inside info I am missing?

IMO the QB for Bama is overrated. And kicker sucks. A bad combo if this game is close.

That being said, I may parlay Bama and the over just b/c it does not make sense lol.

                            Also on Bama
                            Simple reason imo
Bama was too uptight first meeting
                            Roles reversed tonight

JJ, keep this in mind good buddy. It's a lot easier to beat a team twice in a year once you have already beaten them once. That's arithmetic 101.

Tough to argue this (from ESPN):

                                    The Crimson wall
Have I mentioned that Bama's defense -- not LSU's -- leads the nation in rush defense, pass defense, scoring defense and total defense? Since the NCAA began tracking those stats in 1937, only one team (Oklahoma in 1986) has finished the season ranked No. 1 in all four of those categories. To repeat, the Tide defense has given up the fewest touchdowns in 2011: a grand total of nine. And it held LSU to TD goose eggs on Nov. 5.

Bama also throws more INT's, fumbles more, gets sacked more times for more negative yardage, and is inferior on special teams. Thus, Bama's O will be equally inept vs. LSU's D.

you are right, and the line is going against that, has to be a reason for the reverse line move.

its also not true when it comes to looking at trends and the like. It is harder to beat a team twice.

LSU has also played much better offenses than Bama: Georgia, Ark, West Virginia, and Oregon......which skews the D rankings a bit.

Generally that 2nd meeting is a dogshit bowl where the loser of the 1st game has a big motivational edge whereas tonight is for all the marbles. There will be no emotional advantage in this one.

I like LSU personally but the line movement scares me, still think this will go under 41 though

No it is not. Just like in roulette, where some think what the last number that came out was, changes anything on what the next number is going to be called. Regardless of what number(s) come out in the past, has NOTHING, ZERO, ZIP to do with the chances of what number comes out next. On EVERY spin, EVERY number has the same exact odds of coming out.

NFL Cincy lost to Pitt by 7 in the first meeting, then lost by 28 in the next. Falcons lost to the Saints by 3 in the first meeting, then lost by 29 in the next. Giants beat the 'Boys by 3 in the first meeting, then won by 17 in the next. Pats beat the Jets by 9 in the first meeting, then won by 21 in the next. Lions lost to the Saints by 14 in the first meeting, then lost by 17 in the next. Every one of these were meaningful games to the teams that lost originally, and not only dd they lose again the second time, they lost worse. You can bank that LSU not only wins tonight, but they'll win convincingly.

What if the books are trying to mess with your head and make you take Bama since they are the favorite now?

the average joe always bets the favorite b/c they want to win.

                                                            its human nature.

I am totally confused now. I was leaning LSU but with the line movement i am starting to lean Bama.
