Neither party has any real interest in cutting spending or entitlement programs. If they did, they would. Take away welfare checks and food stamps from places like Mississippi or Michigan and see what happens to both parties' incumbents.

If they cut the defense budget the Republicans lose half their campaign donations. Cut program spending and the Democrats lose half their campaign donations.

Having a big war chest and keep getting elected is the name of the game.

Ron paul Always does well, but the republican establishment will never nominate him, his isolationist views, the gold standard doesnt allow for a system to be raped by WallStreet, corp, and the top % ... and allowing adults to make decisions about what they do with their own lifes turn off socialist that think the gov't should be everyones daddy, as well as Holy Rollers that want to stone people for "naughty" things they do in the bedroom.

Im guessing its gonna be a Romeny / Santorium ticket, Romenys money combined w Santoriums Bible thumper following ... Gingrich has got himself a sec. of state job

its gonna be a close race either way ... unless things keep improving throughout the year, then obama could edge it out

1. Santorum gave good answers called out Romney on some of his BS
2. Perry was, in my estimation, a total phony, not very intelligent, wouldn't let him run my light switch
3. Huntsman made good, well-reasoned and intelligible points, and it's laughable he did so poorly in Iowa. Listed problems and gave solutions, Very solid debate.
4. Ron Paul was attacked even by the anchor, because he is a nutjob and his pipe dreams don't hold water, they are not implementable he introduced fifty-some bills 3 went to a vote 1 made it through = NUTJOB
5. Romney got nailed often, smiled a lot, fought back some with weak excuses, guy is a dead fish, He is not a better choice than Obama in any way.
6. Gingrich blasted Romney for his BS a few times, clearly pointed out real problems with some possible solutions, did get the crowd behind him re: religion.
