This joke wrote itself & gave pause for a hot chick pic.
This is the best thing Andy is gonna hit while at the US Open ...
That's his fiancee they keep showing in the stands. Mandy Moore a few years ago. SI model now, Brooklyn Decker. Who cares if you win a major.

well, sampras won his last title (us open '02) when andy was all of 19 yrs old, so sampras has not been his nemesis, that would be one roger federer who stole the glory away from everyone in men's tennis for 4.5 yrs, now its rafa nadal who will be doing it for a while it seems, if he's healthy, probably another 4-5 yrs he can dominate

cause no one takes roddick seriously anymore.
he was like 700 or 800 against santoro when it shouldve been more, that's a good example. they think he's gonna fold but he isn't, i truly believe he's a dark horse to make the QF/SF. the santoro spanking was a good indication of how it's gonna go. people were expecting and entertaining 4-setter and they got a one-sided beatdown.
federer is off, nadal will go down from fatigue sooner or later, blake is shaky, nalbandian will probably implode one of these days, davydenklol. Only solid guys I see there is Djokovic, then Federer and Nadal.
but then again roddick has to face gulbis/gonzalez/djokovic/federer. hahaha.

IMO -
Roddick has an amazing serve and forehand. Connors was able to reinforce his backhand a bit, and got him moving towards the net more and more. However, Connors was not able to get Roddick's return of serve to another level. Too bad Roddick is not a natural up at the net because it still seem he presses to get up there - at times with poor apprach shots - and just doesn't have a natural feel at the net. If Roddick could serve and volley, it would be unreal.
Unfortunately, If someone can get into a groove and start blocking his serve back, and Roddick is pressed into rallies beyond 4 strokes on his serve, he may start to turn into a head case. Roddick is jittery and impatient - look at the way he walks and carries himself on court.
Remember Roddick being up 2 sets and a couple of breaks in the third set to Gasquet, at Wimbeldon a few years back, then losing it? Unfortunately Santoro was rusty and not ready to face Roddick a few nights ago, and as stated, he still has yet to face a real test. This summer was not a good one for Roddick; however, this may actually be a good thing, because a good Open will negate all of that.
I look for Roddick to get to the Quarters, but then Djokovic will be waiting, and, if Djokovic is healthy, Roddick will be hard pressed to win with someone who can handle his serve and press Roddick into rallies.
Hopefully P. Mac can get Roddick's head screwed on straight by then by calming Roddick down and thinking more - instead of relying on his serve and forehand to blast every opponent off the court - however, it remains to be seen since I am sure McEnroe has tried to calm Roddick down for years as the Davis Cup coach.
All in all, Tennis is about the big 3 right now -
Nadal: perhaps on a letdown from the Olympics, but working his way into form - it seems only injuries will stop him.
Federer: Want's to prove his run is not over - but with recent losses to Blake and others - the luster is fading.
Djokovic: Still in the shadows looking to prove himself - but has more pressure on him as a grand slam winner.
Roddick has all the tools to be the 4th man on that stage, and, as an American, I hope he learns to relax and play to his capability.

Like we all said, No serve, no chance for Roddick. See ya L8er! Too bad because we miss your hot GF in the next rounds. He just broke a racket. I think I posted it earlier, best thing he'll hit in the US Open is still his fiancee!

blows an easy break pt. What an idiot.
instead of trying to break the sound barrier with his serve why not work on the rest of his weakass game.

He ahrdly lost it, Gasquet just switched on and started massively outplaying him. I think he ended up with something crazy like 90 winners, almost all of them in the last three sets.
