I don't understand why people always say don't cross the 0? Seems like another myth not saying in this case but in general... like tomorrow giants minus 3 or plus 7... or falcons plus 3 or 13... if I think giants win why wouldn't I take them plus 7? Would just like a regular answer of why not to cross 0?

In your example its a good proposition. But JJ is teasing pitzburg from -8 to +2. Hes crossing the zero and getting a bad number. Pitz +2 is basically the same as pitz -2.5. So hes paying alot of juice and extra points for nothing. If you cross the zero you have to be getting atleast +3 or its pointless to tease. Anyone who teases a -4 favorite to a +2 on a 6 point teaser is a dumbass. Your basically buying points that long term will not help you. Its not very often that teams in the NFL win or lose by less than 3. Hence the key number.

Teasers are good or bad bets strictly based on the key numbers you buy. The % of games that finish +/- 2.5 is very low. Therfore you are essentially giving away 5 pts. You want to buy 3,4,6,7,10. Same thing here with 7-10. very few professional games fall 7.5-9.5.
