The Las Vegas Hilton Is Officially Gone.......

The Las Vegas Hilton no longer has the right to lay its claim as a Hilton Hotel property.

Can't say I really blame Hilton. I stayed here back in July, and while the book is still awesome, the hotel is a total dump. Only restaurants left are terrible, and the room and hallways smelled like curry.

Now it will officially be known only as the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. No longer accepting Hilton points for hotel.

Wonder if this will have any effect on the Super Contest?

Was there yesterday, it's as if nothing as changed in the casino whatsoever.........business as usual, just different name.

Makes me sad. I loved that hotel and I am a Hilton honors member and they gave me free breakfast Buffett which was out of this world. and the steam room was awesome.

If I had never stayed at the hotel myself, I would have thought the Hilton was a good spot. However, I was up all night itching from the bed and checked out after the first night. I'll go back the sportsbook, but even that creeps me out now.

I liked it. Stayed there twice and was always treated well. One trip I was up about $2500 playing roulette and they comped me and 4 guests a $250 meal @ Benihanna's. Thought that was pretty generous. Never had a bad experience.

You caught it on a bad day..............decent place Matty, trust me Matty, been going there before you were born.................have spent no less than 2,000 days in the little ballpark over the years, and have beaten them up pretty good in the process.

Easiest book to get a car to by a mile for a local. Used to park my cab in back all the time. Local tip only. Take Swenson.

People like the Hilton book because they have so many options. They have great lines. I got Houston to win Superbowl 300:1, this was the game before they clinched their division.

If I had a lot of money, I'd live at their book and bet in-game all day. Has anyone done that? I think a fortune can be made. But they raised their minimum to $10, so I think their in-game betting was abused.

As for the people, I imagine it's the same people that post at SBR.
There's a lot of hardcore, Vegas gamblers there, so yeah, it's not the Caesar's where rich frat boys are dropping Bennys like no tomorrow. I hate watching games there because a losing gambler is an unhappy gambler.

Its a dump. It was a dump 7 years ago and has just gotten worse.

Like others have said its a downtown joint that is a long ways out of the way.

You can sometimes get decent futures odds there but might get jerked around on them if you want to put more than 5 bucks on them. (hyperbole but limits can be a joke). So its best just to have guys that bother going there keep track for you, not worth the personal effort.

Now they dont have the hilton protection I would expect them to join one of the other lines that most other books have. Boyds probably.
