The Nugget is great if you're going to Vegas to actually gamble. Several good restaurants......Red Sushi, Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse both top notch. We always stay in a Jr Suite in the Rush Tower. Great room.
Sportsbook is actually not bad. While not as fancy as what JJ prefers, it is Krackman's favorite book.
This may very well be why JJ chooses to stay away.

I was there about 5 months ago
I was walking in the fukkin lobby in a $200 sweat outfit sipping a high end tea while browsing the windows at the shops when all of a sudden I get fukin splashed with water, some fat fuk jumped in the fukkin pool and since so close to the fukkin lobby I got wet. I never saw a hotel with the fukkin pool right in the fukkin lobby area I like private pools that have some sort of protection. If your sitting at the pool at The Nugget every mother fukker that goes through the fukkin casino can see you
I was getting a fukkin ice cream cone and fukkin kids that just got out of the pool soaking wet tracking right into the place leaving water tracks, Lobby smells like fukkin chlorine.
I went to the sportsbook then to recruit some beards and what a banged up fukkin place that is, real tight and small, I believe the booths are all old wood..I sit down for a few minutes and all writing on the fukkin desks (sex shit..blow me..., fuk you, such and such is a whore, phone numbers..ect) low class
Casino standard, i guess rooms ok

Not great basically a gathering place like you see in Amsterdam with all different types of people in center..drugs, drinking, homeless people, people begging for money, people doing various skits to earn money from tourists..I had so many approach me and want to sing or play the guitar and I told them to get away from me or I will blow your fukkin head off.
I like high end strip hotels where people walking around in $1000 suits and various other high end clothing, walk out of my door in a $500 robe with a pink belt and into lobby and everyone looks in awe at me. I like the plush hotels period.Comment -

I think he is talking about the Golden Nugget in AC (rather then Vegas) since he mentioned the Taj... Regardless for a 24 hour gambling trip (or the first / last 24 hours a longer trip) a hotel really shouldn't be required...

It's been 10 yrs since I've been to the Golden Nugget in Vegas. But I like it. It has a style all it's own. It's how I always pictured Vegas in my mind before I actually went there. None of that stupid fuking pyramids and eiffel tower bullshit.
