Sure, but the reason could be more betting based than actual likely result based.

I think LSU has been the best team in the country all year and nothing has happened since the regular season ended to change that. So no way in hell I would lay points/odds against them, ergo....it's either LSU or pass.

Well then I'd probably recommend passing, because to go against this kind of line movement seems like you're just asking to have your head chopped off.

There is no reason for Alabama to be favored. None. That doesn't scream "value" to me if I'm backing LSU.

Nothing "special" to see here. Alabama is going to win, and you can get the normal line at -2.5 at -110?! Why would you even offer the -3 at LESS than -EV??? You are LOSING money by taking that bet offer on Alabama...why would -3 be worse odds than the -2.5?

ok, why do these posts keep getting made?

People still don't understand what a special line is, and we've been over this a hundred times.

I guess technically they could just list LSU, but they list both sides. Don't complain, the regular line is there as well.

If someone is "tricked" into betting Bama -3 when we also list Bama -2 then they should not be gambling even with free points. In the couple of years we have been doing this I can not remember a single bet on the opposite side of the special line so I don't think its even an issue.

If no one has bet it, that's certainly a positive, but why not list the normal line in that section??

i think all the people in love with alabama here could be overthinking it, or else i'm missing something major. i feel like their justification is basically that alabama "should have" won the first game (which for the most part i'd agree, but then again it was in alabama, so they're supposed to win that game anyway, plus it's only one football game) and also that alabama's team has more talent overall (which is a fair point also, trent richardson is just one of many great players they have). but on this sort of stage, there are way more factors at play than what it looks like on paper. i think LSU will have a big edge in composure and focus. they just know how to freaking win and will not be rattled. people thought they were watching them go down vs georgia and they came back and made it look easy. that sort of experience is invaluable

oh and btw the game is in the SUPERDOME for christ's sake. again, you can throw out could haves and should haves all you want, but bama didn't even beat LSU in alabama

i could be way off here, but i love LSU in this game
