I'm tailing John Ryan's pick under
'Tigers' back seven must keep close tabs on a pair of playmakers in WRs Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey. Austin is vastly undersized (5-9, 173) but is extremely quick out of cuts and has been able to exploit the middle of the field working from the slot. Bailey is underrated in terms of route-running and has above-average body control and hands. Clemson co-defensive coordinators Kevin Steele and Charlie Harbison will mix in zone and man looks in the secondary, and when they do dial up man coverage watch for them to align DC Coty Sensabaugh across from Bailey as much as possible. Tackling will be key for Clemson in the secondary as well, because Austin and Bailey display dangerous elusiveness after the catch. Obviously, I strongly believe you will see some sound tackling and stronger than expected defense.'Comment -
