My brother and I and about seven other guys are headed to Vegas first weekend in march. Got a few questions for you Vegas junkies, whose got the vest sportsbook for free drinks. I know the MGM is great to watch but cocktail service sucks. Also any other culture dance clubs we should visit? Also I need 15 SBR points from everyone so i can get the 1000 gift card for American airlines so I can go, thank in advance

guys.. let me tell you.. free drinks and sports books.. is kinda thing of the past now in vegas...

I dropped probably 2k at a time in tickets each time i went to the window at the venetian and i didn't get a single comped drink.. finally when i left the place and was cashing out some of my last tickets.. i. asked the guy about it and he said they only give it to big bettors...

I guess 500$ on a game isn't a big bettor.. or worth a free drink...

not even a year ago.. i would duke the guy like 20$ and i would have more tickets then i knew what to do with.. i swear on more then one occasion I have given random people a pile of drink tickets as i checked out of my room..

not this trip.. and i doubt i will again when i am there for super bowl

Seven steps to almost free drinks in Vegas:

1. Go to SBRs Horse Racing section and get some picks from JoeyP's thread for the day you're going to be there.
2. Take your buddies and go get seats at a racebook which is usually located very close to the sportsbook - if not the same thing. Sit at the little booths with the TVs.
3. Grab a couple race programs so it looks like you know what you're doing.
4. Go up and make some bets on some races for any amount. Bet $2 WPS or 10c Super boxes - whatever.
5. KEEP THE TICKETS ON THE DESK IN FRONT OF YOU - most important - even the losers. You want a pile of them on your desk.
6. Order drinks when the waitress comes around. She'll be looking for the presence of tickets to make sure you're not just taking up a seat.
7. When she comes back with your drinks, they should be free. TIP HER WELL! These SB/RB servers are in the loneliest place in the whole casino most of the time. Tips are not plentiful. She will take good care of you if you tip her. You should be able to average your drink cost out to about $1 a drink or less.

Those 7 steps have worked for me every time in multiple race books.

rio sportsbook is good for quick service.... u dont even need a betting ticket to get drinks. the servers jus go around asking who wants a drink.

as far as clubs go it jus depends on what u lookin for

Rio sportsbook was good hilton was good... Stay away from tightwads at ceasers. The cocktails always give me the sweats there they must be using the cheapest liquor possible or im just getting old.

Hate to hear that about the Venetian getting so damn tight. I was there just a year ago and was given more comped drinks than I knew what to do with - gave a bunch away and still left loaded myself.

Go to Caesars Palace
Get a table and watch the games
During the games Bet the Horses $2 get you a drink ticket ask for it.
Bet the Heavy Favorite to SHOW
you will only win $2.10 $2.40 maybe $2.80 or so
take the ticket back up and bet another $2 Heavy Favorite to show.
let the ticket writer keep the change get another drink ticket.
The ticket writer will be happy to get .20-.40 a ticket in tips each time
It adds up quick
Try to go to the same writer the younger the better, use Kathy if she's there
Joke around with her and she'll take care of you
Also don't forget to tip the waitress $1 a drink is standard.
You might lose a few bets but just remember the drinks you just got at the bar
cost $5
Also $10 for 2 drink tickets so only bet $2 at a time
For sports its $50 for 1 $100 for 2

I did what dbartwin mentioned last time I was in Vegas. At Caesars, just bet a lot of low dollar horse races, and got a free drink ticket or 2 each time. Within an hour between the 3 of us, we had about 40 tickets, and pretty much broke even.

Bachelor parties and Spearmint Rhino go hand in hand........get in the phonebook and call them the day of and tell them its for a bachelor party. They will come and pick you and your party up in a limo and will be free cover.....at least thats how it was 5 years ago when I went there for mine....still have dreams about those womenz!

And the Caesar's at Caesar's might have been the best I've ever had. Most likely the resident Canadian's out there will know what a Caesar is.....but ask for these at the bar next time....UNREAL.

If they give you comp drinks, the rooms are packed, and you have to wait over an hour for one drink. Don't even worry about the drinks. Just go buy one yourself and sit down.

don't even bother with the strip clubs..they wipe you out in the first 10 min before you even know what hit you...get a hooker your money will go further and you'll actually get something for it

If your really cheap want a free drink go put a Buck in a quarter slot machine pull once sit there and then they will come around.Slot players seem to get all the free drinks they want and they never get checked.I always just buy my drinks.I only do the slot trick in the morning when im not really gambling yet and just need some coffee.
