#3plommer, that really made my day man. I don't know how you found that.. i guess i loved it because i can relate to this, big time.. Everything about this vid was right on the money.. people of course here wont understnd this, and wont get it, but it is my life..
when i was a bookie, i loved beating the french canadians money, way more than the english guys. plommer, i can't stand those frenchmen.. those fukkin quebecois..
i loved beating guys like
jean guy pepin
gilles tremblay
michel lajeunesse
stephane ouellette
i hate those frogs, plommer. but that vid was right on.. they love their poutines, they can't pronounce "that" they say "dat"
great vid, plommer.Comment -

you want to enjoy life, be a bookie.. it don't get better. the cash in unreal.. you will never bet offshore again after this.. try having only square customers who only bet favorites and over and lay -110 only and play tons of parlays too.. at jacked up prices.. these guys didn't care what prices they were playing into.. they didn't know the real lines.. i had a great time when customers called me and i knew their style, and they'd say, what's the line on the Canadiens in hockey..
if line was Montreal -170 and over 5 -110..
i'd read them.. ok tony, the line is montreal -245 and o/u is 5.5 over 135.
ok nicky, you wanna give me mtl -245 and over 5.5 -135 please..
beamer, we had like 20 losing days every year.. no joke..
things have changed quite a bit today with the internet now, and line services everywhere.. but still, bookmaking is about 2355x easier to make money than betting offshore.. there is comparison..
today, it's very tough to make a buck out there.. it's a fukkin grind.Comment -

#8beamer, we had like 2 to 3 different guys collecting.. never had to use muscle.. people usually paid.. even if it was in installments over 2 yrs.. the only ones that got away with not paying was and take notes here... was when they brought in the cops.. if they said, you come after me, and i am going straight to the police, that was it.. if you want to not pay a debt.. just mention the cops.. that did it. no bookie wants the cops ever involved.. once they get involved, the ball game is over.
gordie geiko... not worth because you can stil make some dollars offshore, not as much, but you can.. not worth the aggravation of hiding from the cops, and all that.. plus, business today not as profitable as it once was..today, there is too much information for the bettor.. people also know about reduced juice.. bad lines. etc.. back then in the 90's,, it was a dream.. no one lays -110 anymore as easily as back then.. you can still make money booking, but nowhere near the past.. just not worth it anymore, gordie geiko.. stay offshore.Comment -

#13Looking up the word "poutine" french fries, cheese brown gravy tastes so good, I have had the red gravy... just not as good. Here in Jersey a late night Diner staple is fries with mootzarell and brown gravy.Comment -

#16gordie,
gamblers don't have a favorite team.. dont forget this.. we never have favorite teams.. we ONLY cheer for teams we have money on. If my fav team is in game 7 of the finals, and i have money against them, i am cheering against them.. I speak for 94% of sports gamblers.
boys, that plate of poutine has about 2,000 calories and about 88g of fat. Poutine is probably the most fattening thing in the world. maybe even more fattening than butter.. the french people in quebec love it. it is pure fat.. don't ever eat that.
plommer, here are some expressions in Quebecois.
I tell you the truth= hi tell you da troot
I don't like that= Hi don't like dat...
I want to eat at Harvey's and Tim Horton's= Hi want to heat hat Arvey's and Tim Orton's.
beamer,
i dont want to tell you how to ever stiff a bookie, but we have been stiffed maybe 8 times.. and what did it was after we would send big Vito 6,9 342 lb guy and he'd shake him up.. whenever the guy would say,, if anything happens to me, the cops know who you are.. and my GF, too.. once we heard this, it's over, we left him alone.. so if you ever want to stiff a bookie (and i am not encouraging it).. just tell him if anything happens to me, the cops already know who you are and where you live.. i guarantee you they leave you alone.. bookies want nothing to do with this..Comment
