Denver came out way ahead in the trade. It allowed them to give Ty Lawson more minutes, added depth, and ridded the Cancer aka Melo.

Knicks are now in Salary cap hell, and are a mediocre team. Two things that do not mix. If they get rid of Dantoni the may win 3 more games than projected for the year.

Melo has the best clutch stats since he's been in the league. He's a very underrated man to man defender but gets a bad rap because of his bad team defense. He's an elite player, just needs help. He's playing better then he ever has this year, passing the ball more then ever.

Gallo is much better for team chemistry. Willing passer, 20 PPG type of guy.

Not in the same class as a scorer, but more effective in keeping teammates involved. Melo is 25-30PPG, but he has the green light every possession. Knicks offense often times gets out of rhythm, especially when Melo tries to do a solo act and is shooting cold from the field.

Agreed. When Gallo shows up and isn't brickin' 3's in the 4th to give a tight game away in transition, like he did in Portland, the Nugs are unstoppable. Don't misinterpret... Not saying he's their best player or even comparing him to Anthony, just that he really stretches the floor for them and in a much more colorful way than he did under D'antoni. Never considered his game to have much dept,h as all he ever did in NY was sit 2 ft outside the 3 pt line, but he's starting to show some colors under a MUCH better coach and will only improve throughout the year. As Gallo goes, so goes the the Nuggets.

And watching Anthony at the point is just a fking joke. He def gets that whole offense out of rhythm.
