I was watching the Mich St./Georgia OT. The spartans were on offense and threw an INT. After the play was over, the Georgia player committed a late hit personal foul on one of the Michigan St. players. Instead of enforcing it on the next Georgia offensive possession and making them start at the 40 yd line, as would be reasonable, the penalty was automatically declined. Really?? how the fk does that make any sense?? So basically you can tee off on any player after their offensive possession has ended and as long as you don't get ejected, the personal foul flag is meaningless.

Good point. If they did the same on a PAT, the kick would be 15 yards closer.

If Georgia had scored, it would not have been counted because of the personal foul.
