I'd say yes... because scantions are coming... players are suppose to committ to the school not the coach but that's when a coach leaves not when a coach single handily tries to ruin the program

they should and I'd be surprised if the NCAA doesn't allow it especially in this situation. It would be bad p.r. for them not to.

Yes, I think they should be able to. They signed to play for Penn St not Pedo St.

They did it for tulane after Katrina. They will do it for penn state too. They did it for USC. When you really want to give a program the de facto death penalty, this is how you do it. Transfer with no penalty.

Any player should be able to transfer without penalty when his coach leaves.

After the way most of them play today....Penn State should let them leave on their own...who would want them?

Absolutely!
USC and Ohio St. Received sanctions for "lack of institutional control". USC very harshly, 30 lost scholarships.
Now I can't think of any worse lack of institutional control than this, I think they should get death penalty and not have football for 5 yrs.
Think about it, what's worse... Player receiving some cash, housing for parents, or players selling bowl memorabilia for 800 bucks or whatever vs. A staff knowingly letting a predator rape little boys on campus in their facilities! You would've thought someone would've beat the fuk out of the guy and said don't step foot on this campus EVER!!!
IMO

its true, but the Ncaa isn't about the student part at all
I mean i'm not even sure, but I wonder if students that play in the band, or are on the debate team, or cheerleaders even.... are they allowed to do their "hobby" or "sport" at another school the next year if they transfer?
I'm not saying I don't see the need for the rules in big time D1 sports.... and i'm not equating a tuba player with a big time QB or RB
but if you are gonna hold the athletes to "special rules", and restrict their ability to change schools you can't JUST call them students first

You guys are clueless
The second the NCAA allows guys to transfer without sitting out is the when they set precedents for future guys to challenge a ruling. Your town gets demolished by a hurricane? Okay fine...that will happen once every fifty years. A retired coach gets arrested for something completely disgusting? Fuk you....that could happen any time.

Like I said above, they talk about USC, Ohio St, Mia,FLA! What's worse players getting some cash funds, etc or knowingly letting a fukn scumbag rape little boys on your campus in your facilities!!
