The punt on 4th and 3 in a game you know is gonna have 100 points scored was another fukk up...
Every team should have a "smart" coach to go along with the motivational dumb ones...

Bad clock management, but they really should have had the 19 seconds they ran off on that out of bounds play. You never see that 'going backwards' call in that situation.

The official didn't help him either by sort of waiving his hands indicating that the clock was to be stopped.

this is the same coach that called 2 timeouts on defense (with less than 30 seconds left in a tie game!) and allowed his team to lose to michigan st

yeah I know. Just clueless clock management by the head coach. You see it happen every week. Not only in college, but some NFL coaches are just as bad.

Ive seen it quite a bit, which is why they run the clock when it looks like it should be stopped when a guy is going out of bounds on contact, it happens quite a bit.

really? when there are 20 secs left in the half and the receiver is sprinting towards the sideline to get out of bounds and makes it? I don't recall that happening so much.

Seems like a lot of clock managment problems in the Big10. Iowa's Ferentz is the worst.

Yeah, he's bad too.
I think it's because they're not used to it. Their brains can't function that quickly because Big Ten style is so slow and methodical all the time.
