Bet365 have Romney at +125 and Ladbrokes have Ron Paul at +150 so thinking of playing both for profit either way. Next favourite is Santorum at +500 on Ladbrokes. Seems it's a two-horse race...Americans and especially anybody in Iowa help me out before I pull the trigger!

Um no. Iowa caucus are very very very unpredictable. Santorum is surging in the polls within the last week, he went from 2 percent to 16 percent. Iowa loves them a god fearing man who hates gays so wouldn't be shocked to see him do very well. I am surprised it took him this long to surge in the polls.

Honestly I think you are a bit crazy for betting on Iowa, it is the most unpredictable of the primaries.

But Santorum is surging because of a big support of the family life counsel and because of this great ad he came out with.

But i wouldn't count out Perry yet, Bacchman is a bit far out for me, but again so many people in Iowa don't decide in till they get to the caucus. And there has been SOOOOOO many 'not mitt' people up and down up and down.

I am not affiliated with any party at the moment but I am registering as a republican just to vote for Paul! I don't know if that helps my friend, but that is where my head is at!

Apprently not, somehow it's now Paul 21.1%, Santorum 20.3%, Romney 53%.

People are so f*cking stupid it makes me sick!

                        Santorum:

"Don’t give me this idea — I hear this: ‘Oh, you’re a moralist. You’re trying to impose your values.’ Everybody’s trying to impose their values. That’s what America’s about."
-Rick Santorum, at a campaign event yesterday [source]

What a stupid piece of shit!

The only reason for his surge is he talks like a hawk on his would be dealings with Iran. These people in Iowa that are swinging towards him are nuts. I love Ron Paul's stand on how he would deal with Iran. Leave them the hell alone.

Romney starting to posture now with his statement that he would veto the DREAM Act if elected ... that comment is to differentiate himself from Obama and also to pander to the right of the party who are stuck and are looking for someone to vote for ... he has just lost every single Latino vote that is out there ... but he probably figures that he would not have carried too many of them anyway ... the Superpac money is starting to work for him now ... the ads are flowing for Romney ... just remains to be seen if it has all come in time for Iowa .. will be interesting .... Santorum is another boom and bust candidate ...

Santorum is far more intelligent than you and far more moral as well.

Santorum is not booming as only an idiot like JW would classify a candidate with less than a 4% chance of securing the nomination a "boom" candidate.

The republicans know full well that the best chance they have of beating Obama is with Romney which is why Romney will win the republican nomination by a wide margin:

and in other polls he has 17 , ect.ect.ect.

he had 4 percent 10 days ago.

and imo out of all the election coverage fox news is far superior then any other news out-let. i am neither republican or democrat they both piss me off. But MSNBC puts their liberal commentators on election night, Fox news actually has analysis

Flip-Flop .... Bloomberg, Reuters and even your beloved Fox News are reporting the non existent, "idiotic" ... "Santorum Surge"

                                          non existent?

You are looking at old data my friend.

he went from small single digits to 16-20 percent. If more of Perry supporters come over to him, he might just take 2nd place away from paul. He has a long way to win it, but it would not be a shocker. 30-40 percent of people DONT decide in till they get into the caucus room.

Perry is a guy that just ruined his chances with the debate, without the debates he i believe would be in first in iowa. he is like santorum, but has a long history of governor. and is saying stuff like he wants to cut congresses pay and make it a half year job. also perry has money, which is one thing santorum doesn't have. Perry has spent more money then any other candidate. With 30-40 percent of people not deciding in till Tuesday again don't be surprised to see him pull it out.

He has had a mini-surge since he has been talking more about cutting the government then his religious views

The republicans ARE secret balloting, unlike the democrats so, there won't be any peer pressure.

Again this is wide open for anybody to win. Which is why I go back to my original point you are crazy to bet on this. (besides huntsman he said **** you to iowa)

Iowa's Republicans are pretty conservative, if that makes sense, which explains Huckabee winning in '08. But fwiw, I live in Iowa and it seems to be going to Romney.

If they want Obama out, the best choice is Romney. I think the people in Iowa are smart enough to know that and he wins.

the republicans have also switched the way they count their delegates. before it was winner take all, howver now it is proportional to their winnings. so its not going to be over lets say if perry doesn't win iowa or new hemp, because he will do very very well in the south and he has the money to survive it. however, what is more important then who actually wins is who did better then expectations. perry has to at least live up to expectations to get the big donors to keep giving him money. having spent the most money out of everyone in iowa he has to poll good.
