CFB: Iowa State vs. Rutgers

Looking at the last 3 teams Iowa State has played I would think this should be easy money for Iowa State to beat Rutgers

I've been back and forth on this game. Iowa st. strenght of schedule is far superior to that of Rutgers but this line opened Rutg a 2 point fav I think, now Iowa st -1. Pretty much a home game for Rutgers as its being played at Yankee stadium....Iowa st freshman QB...Might be a little shaken up on the big stage. Cant decide right now on this game.

I know Iowa State strength is in their run game, also Rutgers flip flop alot with QB's during games.. But i will take a small bet on IOWa

rutgers' defense is going to capitalize on mistakes of an inexperienced offense and quarterback for iowa state. (freshman jared barnett)

he came in halfway through the year to replace steel jantz. hes been doing ok but he will likely have an int thrown for every td he passes today.

also rutgers knows their kicker isnt good under the bright lights so they're going to go for it and make it a few times in tough situations and end up getting some 7s instead of 3s.

plus a lot of rutgers' mistakes late costs them some games- the games were close against wvu and louisville and they just got outscored by 21 to end the game in the second half to lose to wvu. then they found ways to win against all these other decent teams.

yeah iowa state beat osu- pretty amazing, i wish i watched more than the 4th quarter that friday i think it was but if you take that game out- i would think that a lot of our confidence is maybe misplaced.

they can score and they have kept a lot of scorers from scoring.


plus as mentioned many times previously today- rutgers has what is essentially a home game.

Agree with all of this...Another thing to point out is Rutgers last game against U.conn where they lost 40-22. Score is deceiving, Rutger had 6 turnovers in that game.

This will be a tough game. If the iowa st team that showed up against oklahoma st, it will be a long day for Rutgers. Rutgers has good defense but there offense is suspect at times. The Connecticut game. I think Iowa St takes this, but i wouldn't be surprised either way.

Iowa St. showed up for their big games this year. On the other hand, they don't always show up and they're not flying under the radar anymore after beating OSU.

definitely agree- if youre heavy on this game either way you should become light on it and go heavy on NIU, UVA, LSU.

rutgers will probably win by 4 by way of a late td when they were down 3.

that is a terrible philosophy sinner. we should all just start taking stuff we feel 65 percent sure is going to win. not theoretically if its 49.55% sure with odds better than a 50/50 would usually pay. you are still subject to the coin flip.
