Baseball Card Ripoff Stories From When It Was Cool To Collect
Ok, everyone has to remember a time when they were ripped off in a deal/trade or when they ripped someone off.

I remember this kid up the street traded me a 82 Topps Pasquel Perez "error" card for a 1957ish Topps Sandy Koufax, that was my dads. Turns out the card I got wasn't even the error, rather the corrected version.

Not that it was a ripoff at the time but I bought a 85 Donruss Eric Davis rookie for $35. I bought the 83 Topps Traded set for $100 (Strawberry).

Almost every collector knows someone who bought or traded for a 84 Mattingly Donruss rookie, but it was the fake.

Still is cool to collect, at least for me and my finances. I stick with Pre War though no new shiny crap.

I got a Micheal Jordan Rookie card for 8 Original Nintendo games back in like 1992.
