Denver is a Top 3 team in the West
Melo trade was just what they needed. The Nugs are one of the deepest teams in the league and have guys who can shoot. They have one of the best homecourt advantages in the NBA so look out for this team. I think we are looking at a Denver-OKC Western Conference final this year.

One of the most dangerous teams in the league for sure.

Melo was actually the weakness and cancer of that team

I agree OKC, Denver or Clippers will emerge out of the West. Especially in a condensed season with a ton of back-to-backs. Depth becomes crucial late in the season.

I don't think there is one BEST team. Dallas will struggle because they lost key pieces and will probably have a hangover from winning. A lot of people love OKC and they seem primed to take the next step.

Lots of new blood out west. In no order I'd say OKC, Denver, and Memphis are in the top 3 followed by Lakers, Mavs, Clippers, and Blazers.

obviously they look great tonight but they are much worse than last year! they lost jr smith wilson chandler and kenyon martin.... i mean those arent superstars but they do play a big role on the team.... that said they got a great difference maker in the draft with faried.... i hope he gets minutes cause he will give them extra possessions and is a defensive presence

Watch out for the Grizz if you are watching Rudy Gay play tonight.

I think Denver and New Orleans will be better teams without their star players. Both teams got a lot of good players in return which makes them more balanced. I'm riding with both teams this year from a betting stand point.

No buckin way Denver is a top 3 team in the west. Dallas is a bad team this season. Vince Carter sucks he is done. Losing Chandler and barea was huge.

Agreed on the above ^^. Their strength was depth and they lost 4 key guys. The guys replacing them are not as strong. They did look great tonight though, West is WIDE open imo. OKC is the top rated team but more 2 to 8 is anyones to take.

No, Dallas just suck. Don't be fooled by the win vs Dallas.

Couldn't agree more Wizzerd. OKC and Denver are deep and that's just what is needed during a short year with lots of back-to-backs. I don't like the Clippers because they lack depth but there starting 5 is probably as good as any, lets see if Pauls knee holds up. Lakers really are a mess and will continue to be so even when Bynum returns. They're trying to run a new offense and they will struggle. They're about as good as they Clips.

I love these short seasons and expect ratings to be higher. I wish they would just go to a shortened season like this every year. Makes each game worth more but I suspect they lose money. But I love it and am excited to see how things play out.

In the East I really expect the Heat to win it and probably go on to win it all. Last year they were just figuring things out. This year they will be really good. They will probably play the Knicks in the conf. finals.
