I'm sure Pennsylvania will be dead last to implement this, no doubt.

Looks like more of an attempt to let the state's lotteries run wild than a push for poker. But poker could be an unintended beneficiary.

State lotteries a game of skill? More skill than sports betting? Oh the hypocrisy.

Can't wait to see how bad the states screw this up. With the rake and high taxes it'll be a hard game to beat

At least it's a step in the right direction, hopefully these political morons will eventually figure out that sports gambling is way less harmful than than the perjury and corruption they partake in on a daily basis.

                You can say that again.

However, don't confuse the wire act and the Uigea. The kind of strange way these partner is the latter Only pertains to "illegal internet gambling". It has always been extremely clear that the 1960 congress solely intended to curb cheating and manipulation of sports games and horse racing, mainly horse racing. The minutes of the hearings leading to the vote are clear on this. The DOJ kind of stumbled on the poker sites because of the enormous amount of money that was on the move. The poker joints compounded the problem by buying banks and setting up phony retailers and processors when in fact what they were doing was not prohibited by US Federal law but the phony processors were. Kind of like money laundering of clean money.

This is just a slap in the face after so many of us lost money on Black Friday. Sickening money grab! Regardless of what happens I will continue playing offshore at the shops that have been loyal to me and not fund the coffers of these crooked politicians.

If its a "green light" for online poker, why does full tilt still say the site siezed by the FBI?

It's not green light for money laundering.

Will not be much to it
a few lotteries maybe poker with very little volume

It will never be some national network of poker players

This is a great move for poker it will boom again in the states.
Basically they took poker away from the underworld and it will
                                      be policed and run fairly.
Just a thought here buy MGM stock as quickly as you can they
were ready for this they have invested many millions in research
and have the best software ready to go...I think they may be the
first big company to make poker legit
                                      Im drooling by the way
