An advantage bettor will have a higher ROI with a small bankroll and with a large one.

"its hard to win with scared money"

Two great quotes to live by

You can turn nothing into a medium size bankroll easily.

Not that I doubt the accuracy of that, but mind explaining? I can't come up with any ways that it would differ.

Edit: Assuming that's supposed to say "than with a small bankroll."

I started with a very small bank roll and have quintupled it over about 1.5 years. Thats not great but its on the + side. Hell of alot better than my investments, and savings account though, less risky then investing too :P

and before anyone makes the joke, I still consider it a small bank roll, barely enough to buy an economy car.

Most people bet pay check to pay check..

and most people are lifetime losers at sportsbetting.

An advantage bettor can have a nice ROI with a small bankroll or with a large bankroll, but you can't live off the size of the average bettor's bankroll. A succesful advantage bettor is not only measured in how good his ROI is, but also on how well you maximise your time, and trust me a $10,000 dollar bankroll, bigger than the average, is not worth the time needed to produce a nice ROI.

Of course this is subjective to how much you appreciate your time.

So the thread title is 'you need money to win at sportsbetting', in this case win, as to any pro, means alot more than just having a nice ROI. And jjgold is right.

                                    Rogue,

Read the OP. "Small bettors have no chance" is ludicrous.

Small bettors cannot ward off losing streaks like bigger bettors can, therefore small bettors are out of the game quicker even with money management principles being applied.
