Nice car. I plan on buying a new car myself within the next 6 months or so. I have a question though... is it smarter to buy a BRAND NEW car or to buy one that is a couple of years old? I've never owned a brand new car in my life but I'm seriously considering it this time. Anyone an expert on this type of thing? Also, has anyone used TrueCar.com? It looks like a good service to me.

Not a bad time to buy a car right before the new year.

Also plenty of places with 0% for 60 months. Not sure if they are typical year round or just at end of year.

I'd only buy new cars, because you know they haven't been fukked around with and they always will have a new warranty.

Bought a brand new car in 03 when I graduated. still have it with 73K on it.
Bought a brand new car last winter.
Bought a used car once, and it sat for a year with motor problems. Sat all last year with motor problems as well.

I dont get your just like my friend who bought a brand new 2009 hyndai elantra couple years ago meanwhile you could have got like a 2005 range rover with a few miles for same price or caddy dts or cts

Could have got a really nice used car for the same price, but I have a 50,000 miles warranty that has saved me a good amount so far on repairs and shit

My sister got a real nice Audi used but has had to spend alot on dumb repairs.....not worth it

It's costs $80000 to buy a Range Rover another $50000 over the life of the car in matinence and upkeep and you get $35,000 on a trade when you buy your next car whos getting ripped off here?

No....to be honest we never had any issues. It was under warranty the whole time she drove it, and all we ever had to do was get the oil changed.

My biggest issue was that its just not a very "luxurious" ride for 86k. They're really stripped down, nothing close to what a similarly priced BMW would have. It was also a tank. Great if you do some off-roading, but not that great for driving around town. This was right when gas got really expensive, and it got like 13 miles to the gallon.

We traded it in for an X5, and never have regretted it for a minute.

truecar is legit but i would use its sister site zag cause it has lower prices.

my bro just bought a new car thru them and got a great deal.

i would avoid used cause i havent had much luck. nearly all of them had major engine problems or caught fire.
