#39The WSOP seat satellite hosted here; keeping track of the guy that won (can't remember name).
Grinding the poker cash games while I could and building up a nice little nestegg. Chatting with the others at the tables provided much entertainment, whether it was kind words w/ BeerDog or watching Bateman lose his shit time after time.
Busting on Brandon Lang's lol picks
Just reading through the threads in the Saloon made me laugh many times.Comment -

#47Year in Review
Pros:
1 - Good management of poker room & poker promotions
2 - Same entertaining atmosphere on the boards maintained by posters & mods.
3 - Good sportsbook contests
4 - The addition of buying/selling SBR points through the store via MB is great
5 - Great SBR casino promotions
Cons
1 - Removal of the anniversary bonus
2 - SBR trivia increased in difficultly and now rewards freeplays
3 - Most contest winnings are now SBR freeplays
My biggest complaint has to be the general devaluation of being a SBR pro. Although store prices have not increased yet inflation has hit in other ways (as previously mentioned). Not all of it is SBR's fault as the industry is in a down period right now and I think the site has managed quite well given the constraints it faces. I only hope that going forward the brunt of the change will still not put on the back of SBR pros who actually materially contribute something to the well being and longevity of the board. SBR non pros are important but there is absolutely no reason to give them the ability to take shots at SBR before turning pro. 25k cap is still ridiculous. Cap it at 5k max. I know that the risk of being hit for 25k is tolerable but the problem is that when it does hit we PRO posters are the ones adversely affected. You will not see a decrease in affiliates in the least if these changes are made for SBR non pros. People love free stuff and will continue to play here as long as the points program is in existence.Comment -

#49I agree the cap for non Pros is a little high.
We gave away 9 figures in points in 2011. Some areas you mentioned were indeed reduced but areas like contests, poker and special promos saw dramatic increases.Comment -

#51I say about 24,000 points to high 1,000 would be a nice gesture on SBR part even, reduce the non pro stake to 1,000 when they turn pro and bring back the anniversary reward even if you make it 50 points for each year and cap it at 500 max on anniversary points.Comment -

#53First night in downtown Costa Rica. Second night at Los Suenos on the beach also in Costa Rica.
OK, we will look at the point max non Pros can go Pro with at the first of the year. I'm leaning towards 7,500 to 10,000. It has not cost the points program materially to this point but it could as it grows.Comment -
