    Carl "Peep" Erickson
I am Carl's daughter, and I would first of all like to thank everyone of you that has shared your stories of my dad. Also, words cannot express the feeling of gratitude that my family feels towards all of you for being so generous to us, although we have not even mat any of you.

Most of you never had the pleasure of meeting my father in person, but I know that he shared a bond with each and every one of you. He spent hours and hours a day on this forum. He wasn't a very social person outside of his business and this forum.

I find great comfort in knowing that he had so many people that he could call friends on sites such as this. I appreciate reading all of the posts that have been posted here.

I have seen a couple posts asking about funeral arrangements. My father was not a religious man at all, so my brothers and I did not feel that a funeral would serve him well. Instead we have decided to do a celebration of his life. We are holding it on January 15th at his current family fun centre, Park Royal Family Fun Centre, in Mississauga Ontario.

I am going to be preparing a memory book, that will compile memories that all of my dads family, friends and acquaintances have of him. All of you are welcome to post your favourite memory here, and I will have all of them printed out and compiled into a book for all of his friends and family here to see, so that they can also see "this side" of him.

Thanks again for all of your condolences.

Thank you for stopping by. Our heart felt condolences to your family. I met your Dad on several occasions, the last time was when he cleaned out my chip stack in Las Vegas. He was a good man.

        Very sorry for your loss.

Your dad was one of the good guys in an industry where they are in short supply.

Sorry for your loss.I just lost my dad a couple months ago and not a day goes by that I don't still think of him.We had a Celebration of Life as well,I think it's alot more fitting than a funeral.I only knew of your father, from the forum, but your family is in my thoughts and your dad will be missed by a lot of people on this board.

                This is horrible

I think Peep was also a rare guy that did not want add money from books, he did it his way
He stuck with a site and made it very respectable with basically no rules
The guy never lost his composure and he definitely was in some battles through they years with other forum owners and sportsbooks

This is one of the worst days in the last 8 year for the forum world, Peep's name will always be equated to forums as one of the pioneers

God Bless this man and his family

I am so sorry for your loss.

I never had the pleasure of meeting your dad but I would bet that he was a heck of a guy.

My dad made it to 92. It is always tough early on, but in time, the brighter memories will shine through. I am sure that you have many of those and eventually you will smile when recalling them.

Hang in there now, but it will get better.

Best of luck to you and your family.

I barely knew him, but from what I know through Peep's Place and through others is that he was one of a kind, and will be missed.

I met Peep at the SBR bash 3 years ago. He was a true gentleman and made me laugh. A sad day in sports forum land.
