Hmm, this is interesting. I never thought of it in these terms, but now that you refer to it that way, it makes me wonder.... At a casino, for instance, the sucker bets are clear, because you can calculate the odds exactly and compare it to the payout. Like at the craps table, all the prop bets in the center are pure sucker bets. Man, is the Run Line the equivalent to that sort of thing??!! I feel so ashamed now.

Do all the (smart) bettors in here pretty much stick to single basic bets? I had been doing this, but I just felt like the number sometime just doesn't allow you to. It doesn't seem reasonable to me to put up a giant amount to win a small amount.

I'll play the odd runline or parlay but not for anything more than $60. Only two team parlays, nothing more.

The game is a no play if you dont feel comfortable laying the chalk, which is going to be hard to do with all of the inflated numbers that books have been putting out recently. Some numbers tomorrow are just senseless (Marquis at -255?).

As far as parlays go, i have been profitable with two teamers as of late. I dont think they are sucker bets if you are very selective. Sometime i'll play a 3 or 4 teamer very small if i like all of them alot.

I gave up on RL because got tired of getting beat by the 1/2 run all the time just way too many games decided by 1 run, I rather lay the heavy juice now instead.

Seems like when ya take RL the fukin 2 run down team always hits a fukin solo shot in last inning or 2 to fuk the RL. They still lose the game of course but just like you I didnt feel like layin fukin 330 dollars on a team to win a 100 b/c the good pitcher will blow up or the bad pitcher will pitch out of his mind a 1/4 of his time and you've fukin laid so much chalk you want to fukin scream curse words, but then your gf will think she's hooked up with a psychopathic gambler so you just stare at the TV and saying to yourself well can't win em all, can't MOTHERFUKIN WIN EM ALL
