St marys is the pick. Line will get even tastier. -4 is a scary number. 3 is most common finish. St marys another tough place to play, especially with holidays right around corner. Baylor not mentally tough enough. Be careful guys

im hesitant on all 3...but still intrigued slightly...have to take a longer look

butler obviously isnt the team we have seen in the last 2 years...but still well coached and tough....i had stanford pegged as a sleeper(along with indiana)...but i havent been too impressed with stanford and could see that being a close one

denver and n.iowa are BOTH somebody, both will prob make tournament. NO, they're no where near as good as baylor. But tehre is a reason st.Mary is so high on RPI. many of the baylor games they were trailing, ie: the BYU game, yes baylor covered but BYU "shouldve" won that game if they didn't break down in the last stretch.

Baylor seems like a good play. They played each other in the tourney 2 years ago and Baylor crushed them...Baylor aint that much worse and this Saint Mary's team is definitely not better than that one.

However, this is Saint Mary's season right here in some ways. Win this game and an at large bid is very likely. Lose it, and an at large bid will be very hard to come by.

the logical reason is that st. marys can put up like 70-90+ on any given night with their 3-point shooting ability. hard to beat a team by 8 if they keep making shots. plus they have a couple nice wins against good teams.

agreed. Baylor is a top 10 team, and playing a neutral site. What more can you ask for. Take Baylor and call it a day. odds are greater on Baylor side than St Mary to win. ST Mary needs to play a perfect game but Baylor needs to be Avg at best.

Careful, gun to head Baylor would be my play here, but Sagarin has this Baylor -2.5 on a neutral floor and believe it or not St. Mary's has a slightly higher Strength of Schedule rating.

Baylor features wins of private school Paul Quinn, that hoops powerhouse Bethune - Cooke, Prairie View, Texas Southern, and the rest.
Not saying St. Mary's has played big time games yet either, but Baylor's very impressive numbers so far are skewed.

What 3 point shooting ability? St. Marys only shoots 33.0% from 3's. The team with 3 point shooting ability is Baylor at 41.2%. St. Marys also hasn't faced a team that guards the 3 as well as Baylor. Baylor only allows 32.6% 3 point shooting.
