Josh Johnson has really given the Marlins' staff a lift, as witnessed by his 3-0 record and 3.38 ERA. Even better, is that the Marlins have been victorious in six of his seven starts. It won't be easy for the Giants either, as Johnson has made two starts in his career against the Giants, and has pitched to a 1.93 ERA. That puts a lot of pressure on Matt Palmer who was horrible in his debut giving up six runs and lasting just 2.1 innings. Palmer was completely unnerved, as he walked four and hit a batter, coming away from the game with a lofty 23.14 ERA. The Marlins need this one to stay in the race, and the right ingredients are in place to get the win and the series win.
