NFL is the only professional league without guaranteed contracts.

Upshaw's job is to take care of his current and ex players. Especially when his current players are paying into the fund set up to help ex players. Yet majority of them have been denied their pensions. Many that do receive pensions are paid only hundreds of dollars.

Baseball union pays it's ex players 3x what NFL players get.
