#72Yeah I know....I was saying Cowboys weren't worried about injuries, nothing to suggest itOriginally posted by helsI'm agreeing that the field goal should have been kicked. I was asking those against it, if in a 2 score game they would play their backup defense. It would be stupid to do that.Comment -

#78Here's an insert about the 'great comeback of all time in the nfl -- 2 scores is hard but 3 scores....
(Oct. 9, 2003) -- With the Indianapolis Colts behind by three touchdowns with four minutes to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, just about everyone watching last week's Monday Night Football game called it a night and stopped paying attention to the game.
Not the Colts. In less than 240 seconds, Peyton Manning & Co. scored thrice (that's three times) to push the game into overtime, where they would later win the game on a Mike Vanderjagt field goal. It has gone down as the greatest comeback victory in the shortest time span in NFL history.
So that got us thinking. We have some of the most prolific football players, coaches and analysts who chime in weekly here on NFL.com. Figuring that they've witnessed (and played in) some pretty amazing come-from-behind victories, we asked them what was the best rally they've witnessed. The responses were far-ranging, including a very special reaction by a man who knows a thing or two about great comebacks.

#82that's not the debate, no they're not going to be able to do that but it's still a better move to kick the fg. you take the zero percent chance over the one percent shot.Originally posted by allabout the $$$dallas dominated the game tb did shit on offence are they gonna drive 90 yards with no timeouts in a min 30? then have to get an onside kick and score another td and 2 point conversionComment -

#83it should not matter who the other team is. A chance to seal the game without any chance of letting the other team back in the game should ALWAYS be capitalized on. ANY other NFL coach with a winning record goes for the throat and kicks the chip shot. There is NO argument against it, unless you're just trying to argue for the sake of arguing.Originally posted by allabout the $$$if you read my posts i said against an offence like the pats or colts i kick the field goal but against the bucs who have no offence i just get the game overComment -

#84The minute thirty td drive is possible, don't argue that. An onside kick is possible followed by a td is possible too.Originally posted by allabout the $$$dallas dominated the game tb did shit on offence are they gonna drive 90 yards with no timeouts in a min 30? then have to get an onside kick and score another td and 2 point conversion
All I'm trying to say is that a 60 yard td (off a pooch kick), followed by an onside kick leading to a 55 yard td, followed by another onside kick + 20 yard drive + 52 yard field goal is much more difficult.Comment -

#86Garrett should have taken the points at the end. I'm not sure but aren't some of the tiebreakers determined by points scored? It wouldn't hurt to have a few extra in your pocket.
And yes he cost me an over in that spot. My bad for even betting with the Cowboys.Comment -

#88A team down 16 with 1:37 left and a 90 yard drive will still attempt to score a td. They still have slight hope.
A team with less than 1:37 left and need to score td, td and fg will not believe they have any hope.Comment -

A greater comeback would be scoring 3 times in 1:30 than scoring 2 times in 1:30.
