No. They did not. They went 6-0 in the qualifying round and won every game in the Olympics by an average margin of 43.8 points, the closest being a 32 point victory over Croatia (117-85) in the gold medal game. Chuck Daly never even used a single timeout...

i know all that I just know someone stated on this boad that they lost to a college all star team but I don't remember that and can't find any article about winning exhibition games either

Yeah i think they did lose to a college all star team before the olympics started

It was a 20 min scrimmage that they lost by 8 points. The next night they played again and won by 30-40 points.
